Simmons, Morris & Carroll Attorneys Support Mudbug Madness 5K Run Fundraiser for Local Man with Stage 4 Cancer

Attorneys at Morris, Dewett & Savoie, LLC, are committed to partnering with those in the community and just recently they sought to support a local running group with this very same goal in mind. A Shreveport running group ran in the Mudbug Madness 5K in order to not only raise awareness for cancer, but also to support a local man who is suffering from the effects of Stage 4 internal melanoma. The goal of this fundraiser was to help a member of the community and give an opportunity to the people to come together and show him support. At this race there were a total of 94 runners and over 150 donors participated in the financial efforts to help defray the medical costs the man is currently facing.

Over 130 people arrived to show their support the day of the Mudbug Madness. The running group sold team shirts to the public in exchange for donations to support the cause, and they partnered with a number of local businesses in order to reach their goals for support and awareness. The legal team at Simmons, Morris & Carroll was proud to come along side such a worthy cause as they seek to not only help educate the public about the devastations of cancer, but also as they seek to help specific people in the community who are facing the battle this very day.

At the firm, the team committed to help the community in a number of ways because of their commitment to the people and their wellbeing. One of the practical ways those at Simmons, Morris & Carroll can also help the community is in the event of a wrongful injury or death.
